Hello!!!!

Who am I you ask?  I'm Jennifer, I have two amazing children (11 yo boy and 16 yo girl) and a wonderful husband of 18 years.

Why do I sound funny?  I'm from Charleston, SC and have lived in many places in the US (and outside of it), but my accent is from the south.

Whats going on the most recent?  I currently own a home in New Bern NC that took a big hit with this Hurricane.  I was luckier than many who had their whole house under water, but we weren't unscathed.  We have leaks in the roof from large tree limbs, 2 so far, carpets in spaces of the house flooded, and a backyard that will need complete repair to include a shed that was half way underwater and is no longer useful.  Most importantly my family and I were not there, we are safe and sound in a warm bed at night with plenty to be thankful for.  For all of those not as lucky as my family and I were, my prayers are with them.  Many lost their home and some lost their life.  My heart aches for all of those who were truly beaten by the storm.
